..Get Well Soon..

IT was a very sunny afternoon when I decided to take a walk around my backyard back at my home sweet home. It's not an ordinary walk. It's a walk with my father. He is not in a really good condition and his health is one of the things he do not proud of to talk about today. The fever just keep coming back to strike his immune system. And this make our walk went as slow as we get.
It's been quite a while we did not doing this, walking together and sharing some old memories.
Sometimes my father blow up a laugh deep from his throat. A laugh that sound more like he is holding a pain in it. I intended to get a portray of him but my hands start shaking and my eyes getting watery when I saw a paint of mark on his back caused by spending too much time lying on bed. Thus, I wish he can get out of bed longer and the mark will just vanish. But at his age, only miracle can save him from not having any health difficulties. And looking back at his photos now, only one rhyme that keep rewind in my head.. Get Well Soon, father.

Thaipusam

ONE of my dear photographer friend once said that he refused to get involve in shooting any ritual involving religion. Then i asked him, why? Then he said that its just his principle. Bewildered with his words, i went into a deep thought.

Talking about principle, i have my own little petty opinion which is evaporated from a quote i read. It goes some sort like this.. "Photographers know no language barrier. Because photographers talk in one language. It's Photography language."

For me, religion will not be the barrier to capture the moment. The most important thing is to know who you are and to hold on tight in what u believe. Because i do believe, once belief is formed, it takes a harder effort to change what you believe at the first place.

And this is some of the moment that i managed to capture during my outing with some other photographer friends to Thaipusam Celebration. Enjoy!

Kembara Fotografi Ke Pulau Ketam - I

TERKEJUT saya bila diberitahu oleh saudara penganjur encik Ian Ahmad a.k.a Republikarya bahawa kembara ini bermula seawal 7 pagi.. Uiihh.. biar betul.. saya gi keja pun pukul 7:30 pagi..
As u can see.. Its Chong Kok Kopitiam

Wajah-wajah kekenyangan.. ;)

Kisah Tiga Ketul Roti

Inilah tiga ketul roti itu..
Disuatu pagi dihari Rabu disebuah Pasar Tani, saya ke tapak gerai yang menjual roti-roti kecil pelbagai inti. "Pilih dik, tiga biji seringgit dua puluh sen sajer. Adik boleh campur-campur, tak ada masalah. Asalkan adik suka."

.:DryHeartRepublic:.

THIS IS A POST ABOUT ME. Salam. My Name is Farina Ariffa. In case you are wondering, of course I have my official name written nicely on MyKad. But I had this little funny idea that it will be not so cool to introduce myself with my real name.

COOL. Is that the reason why I love being who I am today? Well, maybe. Like one of my photographer friend said to me, “A Photographer is the coolest person on earth. Let it be war, world disaster or a holocaust, u name it, there will be for sure at least one photographer capturing things that we might not have the chance to see from our own eyes in million years.”

AM I A PHOTOGRAPHER? Yes. I would like to reckon myself so. I love to capture just about everything through my lenses. Which is sometimes result in me the un-focus-ness shots. Because I believe, to get a very good shot is to be very focus.

FOCUS. That’s what I want you to do. This blog is not about showing the perfect shots that I’ve got (since I never had one). But this blog is about sharing things that I see through my lenses, with hope that u will understand it without me trying to explain it thoroughly.

HERE. I guess that will be all about my first post. U are very much welcome to leave me as many comments as u love to. Sharing is caring. Till then, see u in my next post.

p/s: Forgive me for my badly poor English. I’m just longed to practice using it. ;)

I love Green..!!
